KANEOHE, HI-Dck-ecc pacific guam llc wasawarded a $46.6-million project from NAVFAC Hawaiito design and construct the 30,709-square-footFY12 MILCON P-822 Marine Corps Air StationOperations Complex, 17,104-square-foot AircraftFire and Rescue Station, over 348,000 square feet of aircraftapron, and related site improvements at the Marine Corps BaseHawaii here. The facilities are scheduled for completion inSeptember 2014.

According to John Fern, senior program manager for ECC, “Ourteam strategized throughout the proposal process to creativelyincorporate value-added enhancements into our design, whichsignificantly increases energy efficiency and reduces overalllife-cycle facility costs for the Navy. We are proud to deliverstate-of-the-art, sustainable, and highly functional facilities tothe Marines and Sailors at MCBH.”

The firm integrated “creative strategies into thestate-of-the-art Leadership in Energy and Environmental DesignSilver-certifiable facilities that achieve Navy priorities forenergy efficiency, facility security, and effective workingenvironments for users and visitors,” according to a preparedstatement.
