SAN DIEGO-IPG Monro Capital Fund I has paid $8 million for theformer Borders building in Downtown San Diego. The companypurchased the 33,000-square-foot building at 668 Sixth Ave. fromC-III Asset Management.

Borders Books closed its store in 2011 and the building,constructed in 2002, is currently vacant. The new owner has plansto refurbish the building and lease it to office, restaurant andretail tenants. The buyer was represented in the deal by Cushman& Wakefield.
