HOUSTON-The Finger Cos. has bought the old Art Institutebuilding in Houston's Galleria area with plans to build a mid-riseapartment complex there. CultureMap reported that the Houston-basedcompany, led by Marvy Finger, purchased the six-story,94,000-square-foot office building at 1900 Yorktown.

The Art Institute of Houston vacated the building last year.According to Houston Chronicle, Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LPreported the sale on July 9. Besides the Yorktown project, FingerCo. is also preparing for a multifamily project at 2900 W. Dallas.For the full story, go to Houston Business Journal .
