IRVINE, CA-Those who follow @GlobeStcom onTwitter and @GlobeStLIVEmay have seen a post teasing the announcement, but GlobeSt.com haslearned that the County of Orange Board ofSupervisors today approved the selection of LoweEnterprises to provide master planning, pre-developmentand property-management services for the development of a 100-acreparcel at El Toro, the former Marine CorpsAir Base here. Lowe was selected through a competitivequalification process.
Lowe will aid the county in creating a master development planthat provides the highest and best use for the 100-acre parcel. Theplan will include creating an infrastructure phasing plan andsecuring entitlements for the site, which is located between theplanned Orange County Great Park Master Plan andthe Orange County Transportation AuthorityMetrolink. It currently houses five vacant and obsoletewarehouses.
