NEW YORK CITY-The neo-Gothic Woolworth Building in New York Citywill be turned into condominiums. The building, known as Cathedralof Commerce, was opened in 1913.
A $68-million deal was finalized last week to turn the buildinginto approximately 40 apartments with a five-story penthouse in thecupola. On July 31, an investment group headed by New York-basedAlchemy Properties purchased the top 30 floors of the building fromCammeby's International and the Witkoff Group.
