OAK BROOK, IL-Inland Real Estate Corp. signed98,735 square feet of leases among six retail properties throughoutIllinois and Minnesota. The REIT has added national retailers suchas Hobby Lobby, Michaels and PartyCity to these centers, with openings scheduled for late2012.
In the largest of the leases, Hobby Lobby took down 46,984square feet at the Hawthorn VillageCommons shopping center at 220 Townline Rd. inVernon Hills, IL.
“The addition of Hobby Lobby brings a national tenant to thelocal community and helps create a well-balanced mix of specialty,local and national retailers at the Hawthorn Village Commonsshopping center,” said Mike Fitzgerald, Inland'sdirector of leasing, in a press release. Other tenants at thecenter include Dollar Tree, Pearle Visionand El Famous Burrito.
