NEW YORK CITY-As companies clamor to enter the already-tightMidtown South submarket, a large block of space could be comingon-line very soon. Media research company Nielsenis considering a move from 770 Broadway in NoHo to takeapproximately 160,000 square feetat MetLife’s 85 BroadSt. in the Financial District, the ex-home ofGoldman Sachs, according to published reports.

Unnamed sources told the Wall Street Journal thatNielsen has tapped CBRE to find a tenant tosublease its 770 Broadway space at the Vornado RealtyTrust-owned building, which is also leased to tenants likeAOL and J. Crew. If signed, the lease would be the latest in aseries of moves by media companies flocking to Lower Manhattan fromMidtown.
