LONDON—Pure Student Living has completedconstruction of its first student housing property, located inNorth London’s Finsbury Park. On the heels of that, the company—alocally based joint venture between the CarlyleGroup and Generation Estates—securedfinancing for three more student housing developments.

The first project, the 400-bed Pure Highbury, was wrapped up intime for the UCAS University 2012-13 academic year. The property islocated within a two-minute walk to the Finsbury Park undergroundstation and within 20 minutes travel distance of 18 Londonuniversities.

The residences’ design took into account input from students ontheir preferences and requirements. The units offer eitherstudy-bed or studio-type ensuites, and the project includes 10MbInternet speed, a 24-hour gym and fitness center, 24-hour securityand dedicated maintenance and housekeeping services.
