CHICAGO-Horizon Realty Group, a North Side apartment investor,has bought a senior apartment complex in downtown Evanston. AHorizon venture bought the 185-unit North Shore Retirement Hotelfor $10.5 million. The senior housing property is the last of sixresidential buildings sold by Chicago-based Irmco Properties &Management Corp.

The property, located at 1611 Chicago Ave., will operate as aretirement community. Horizon is planning to spend nearly $4million to improve the common areas and apartments. For the fullstory, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
