DALLAS-In its efforts to "place a big flag on signatureproperties throughout the area" as noted last year byColliers International executive vice president ofagency leasing David Quisenberry, Colliers' localoffice grew its leasing portfolio by 885,950 square feet. Theportfolio, which includes class B office buildings and a medicaloffice building, follows the leasing assignment received for the1.4-million-square-foot Galleria Office Towers in July.

"This goes back to the original theme I disclosed when I joinedColliers; we want to provide an alternative to the existing serviceprovider network that's in place in Dallas," Quisenberry tellsGlobeSt.com. Quisenberry joined Colliers' local office in late December 2011with the sole goal of launching – and building -- an agency leasingplatform. With the recent additions, Colliers handles leasingactivities for approximately 2.4 million square feet.

But working with some of these office assets won't be acakewalk: Three of the office buildings are located on Interstate635/Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, which is undergoing majorconstruction over several years to meet the increased traffic load."If you look at the LBJ construction that's out there, theperception is that it's cumbersome to be officing in thatenvironment," Quisenberry observes.
