NEW YORK CITY-In the first major personnel move in the New Yorkmetro region under Joe Harbert's leadership, HowardGrufferman has joined ColliersInternational as vice chairman, according to a companystatement. Known in the industry for specializing in tenantrepresentation, financial services, technology, and legal sectors,he has closed more than $1 billion in transactions throughout hiscareer.

Formerly a vice chairman with Grubb &Ellis, Grufferman’s arrival signals the first of what isexpected to be several new strategic hires that will elevateColliers International in the Tri-State market. Also from Grubb& Ellis, Hadley Springer has joined the NewYork office of Colliers as an associate director.
