CARLSTADT, NJ-The Hartz Mountain Corp. willrelocate to space at a 25,000 square-foot building in Carlstadt,relocating its research and development facilities from Bloomfieldafter 85 years. Jones Lang LaSalle, exclusiveagent for the pet food maker, closed the deal.

The industrial property at 640 Gotham Parkway in Carlstadt isowned by Prologis. Featuring 3,500 square feet ofoffice space, a 16-foot ceiling height, three exterior loadingdocks and 45 parking spaces, the building is located within theGotham Industrial Park.

“The facility had previously been used for production andtesting and, as such, was equipped with certain infrastructure thatHartz found attractive,” says JLL’s Blake Chroman.“The location works well for Hartz because it is close to thefirm’s Secaucus headquarters, but still allows for a separation ofthe business lines.”
