COLUMBUS, OH-Capital Senior Living Corp. has made its firstacquisition in Columbus. The Dallas-based operator of seniorhousing communities has paid $2.3 million for Woodlands ofColumbus, a 90-unit senior apartment complex. The deal is part of a$73-million acquisition of eight independent and assisted livingcomplexes Capital Senior purchased from Diederick van derVelde.

Other senior apartment complexes in the deal are located inIndiana and Texas. Van der Velde purchased Woodlands of Columbus in2008 for $6.5 million. For the full story, go to Columbus Business First .
