TORRANCE, CA-Those who follow @GlobeStcom onTwitter and @GlobeStLIVEmay have seen a post teasing the announcement, but GlobeSt.com haslearned that Simon Property Group Inc. recentlyrevealed plans to redevelop the 2.3-million-square-foot Del AmoFashion Center here. In addition, Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc.plans to relocate its full-line store at South Bay Galleria to DelAmo Fashion Center. The new store will be 138,000 square-feet ontwo levels, and is expected to open in 2015.
Simon Property Group tells GlobeSt.com that it cannot discloseredevelopment costs at this early state in a project, but notesthat the arrival of Nordstrom is just “one of many significantupgrades Simon will undertake over two years.”
