TAMPA, FL-A joint venture comprising an affiliate of DriftwoodHospitality Management LLC has acquired a 521-room hotel indowntown Tampa for an undisclosed price. The former Hyatt RegencyTampa hotel will immediately become a Hilton affiliated hotelcalled the Hotel Tampa. The new ownership plans a major renovationon the hotel in 2013 and will rename it to the Hilton HotelDowntown Tampa after it achieves certain milestones inrenovation.
