EWING, N.J.–A private nursing school has tripled its space atthe Capitol Plaza retail center here, reflecting a trend ofnon-traditional tenants for retail sites, according to LevinManagement, which handled the expansion lease.

The Center for Allied Health & Nursing Education, whichplans a name change to Jersey College School of Nursing, is apost-secondary school that prepares students for careers in thenursing field. It first became a tenant at the Ewing retail plazaten years ago, leasing 9,000 square feet.

The new lease with Levin, the leasing and management agent forthe site, is for 30,000 square feet. The school expanded intocontiguous space, including a unit formerly occupied by an autoparts store and a space at 1001 Spruce Office Center, which is partof the plaza.
