KANSAS CITY, MO-The General ServicesAdministration has sent out request for lease proposals tooffice building owners in downtown Kansas City for space that willhouse about 1,000 federal agency workers.

The GSA has set a deadline for submissions for June 7. Theagency is looking for approximately 150,000 square feet ofcontiguous space, according to GSA Heartland Regional AdministratorJason Klumb.

"We expect to sign a lease and announce the location before theend of 2013," Klumb says. "And we expect to move before the end of2014."
