BLOOMINGTON, MN-Residential equipment manufacturer TheToro Co. is looking to secure approvals for a75,000-square-foot expansion at its corporate headquartershere.

The company is looking to build a three-story addition to itscirca 1952 one-story headquarters, according to Larry Lee,Bloomington's director of community development. Toro has asked thecity to rezone from residential a portion of the 15 acres next toits headquarters, according to the Minneapolis-St. Paul BusinessJournal.

Toro, which manufactures mowers, irrigation supplies,snowthrowers and leaf blowers, owns approximately six millionsquare feet of manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, and officefacilities.
