LOS ANGELES-The historic Mayfair Hotel indowntown will undergo substantial renovations and has newmanagement by MJS Hotels.
Located at 1256 W. 7th St. near L.A.Live, Staples Center and the NokiaTheatre, the Mayfair was modeled after European hotels ofthe 1920s and features a three-story lobby, 309 guest rooms andsuites. The full-service hotel offers meeting and ballroom spacethat can accommodate as many as 225 people, plus business andfitness centers.
The hotel was the site of the first official AcademyAwards after-party in 1929. It has been featured in manymovies and television shows, including “True Lies” and “Weeds.”
