NEW ORLEANS–Agrico Sales will build a56,000-square-foot manufacturing facility here to produce conveyorand shiploader systems for the dry bulk shipping industry. Theproject will create 25 new jobs, as well as relocate 35 existingjobs from Bridge City, LA.

“This reinvestment in our state by Agrico Sales is atestament to the strong business climate, skilled manufacturingworkforce and world-class infrastructure here in Louisiana,” saidGovernor Bobby Jindal, in a statement. “Not onlyis this innovative company developing conveyor belts for ports toadapt to an ever-growing global economy, but it's also creatinggreat manufacturing jobs for Louisianians right here in NewOrleans. Agrico Sales joins a long list of manufacturers who haveinvested in our state and are helping us lead the South inmanufacturing.”

The expansion and move, is Agrico Sales' answer to thePanama Canal expansion, which will increase thedemand for larger shiploader systems.
