SAN FRANCISCO—Developers have a plan to convert the KRONTV headquarters at 1001 Van Ness Ave. toas many as 200 housing units after the station moves to new spacelater this year.

A partnership between South Beach Partners andOryx Partners acquired the 106,777-square-footbuilding from KRON's parent company, according to a report in theSan Francisco Business Times. Terms of the deal were notdisclosed. The station plans to move to a new space in the northwaterfront later this year.

Oryx Partners will manage the redevelopment of the property,which is zoned for up to 200 units of multifamily.The development entity is made up of three principals with realestate and development backgrounds including Juan CarlosWallace, who recently worked for SKS Real EstatePartners, attorney John Ramsbacher, andLaura Billings, founder of Sage GreenDevelopment, the Times reports.
