SAN BERNARDINO, CA—Colliers International hascompleted the $34.4 million purchase of anewly-constructed 592,710-square-foot logisticsfacility in San Bernardino to Alere PropertyGroup of Newport Beach.

Colliers senior executive vice president KevinMcKenna represented Alere in the transaction and also wasappointed the exclusive leasing broker for the 701 S.Arrowhead Ave. property. He will be joined on the listingby CBRE's Walt Arrington andJeff Linden.

According to McKenna, demand for buildings in this sizerange—500,000 square feet and up—has surged during the economicrecovery, especially among e-commerce companies and retailers whohave witnessed unprecedented growth in online purchasing.Amazon, among other e-commerce and major nationalretailers, recently occupied a major distribution center along thesame corridor where the building is located.
