OAK BROOK, IL—The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies,Inc. has just named Chong P. Huan, aschief information officer. Huan, 57, will direct all informationtechnology initiatives for Oak Brook, IL-based Inland and itsmember companies. In addition, Huan will serve as chief executiveofficer of Inland Computer Services, Inc.,Inland's in-house IT and computer services department.

“We are very excited that Chong will be bringing his decades ofexperience in the IT industry to Inland,” says TimHutchison, chief operating officer of Inland. “Now morethan ever, technology plays a key role in the success of anybusiness, and he has a proven track record of excellence.”

Huan most recently served as chief technology officer and headof infrastructure for Cole Real EstateInvestments, where he aligned IT strategy with businessdevelopment, and took part in strategic planning and informationmanagement to enable capital raising, acquisitions and growingshareholder value. Huan oversaw the firm's shift to a cloud-basedmanaged service model that company officials say improvedefficiency and cost management.
