NEW HAVEN, CT—The New Haven Register, which atone time occupied nearly 200,000 square feet of combined office andindustrial space at its 40 Sargent Drive headquarters, isrelocating its staff to 18,000 square feet of space at the100 Gando Drive building here.

The lease deal at the 100 Gando Drive property was announced byPraxis Commercial of New York City, which helpedthe newspaper and media company find the new space at the propertyknown as the Star Building, along with localCBRE brokers Tim Gegan andDavid Hansen.

The new 18,000-square-foot location will house a modernworkspace, designed to encourage collaboration among the variousdepartments at the newspaper. The company's 160 employees will alsoenjoy ample on-site parking, Praxis officials say. The New HavenRegister in early 2012 outsourced its printing operations that werehoused at 40 Sargent Drive to the Hartford Courant, according to apublished report.
