BETHESDA, MD—Washington Property Co. has brokenground on the latest apartment building slated for the DC area, aswell as its latest branded Solaire. The $60million luxury apartment building will deliver in 2016with 139 luxury units and 6,400-square feet of ground-floorretail.

The building, located at 7100 Wisconsin Ave.,is located next to the Bethesda Metro station and Purple Line lightrail stations at the corner of Wisconsin and Woodmont avenues onthe site of the former Eastham's Exxon Servicenter.

There will be 21 moderately priced dwelling units. The buildingis being built to LEED Silver standards. WPC purchased the 25,000square foot site in July of 2011 and went on to secure a $42million construction loan from RBS CitizensBank.
