Kayne Anderson Real Estate Advisors is a $1.6-billion realestate platform that invests in specialized real estate sectorssuch as student housing, senior housing and medical officeproperties.
Newland joined Kayne Anderson in 2013. In his new role, he willcontinue to be responsible for origination, analysis, underwritingand execution of acquisitions for Kayne Anderson's real estateprivate equity platform. His expertise lies in healthcare-relatedreal estate assets, such as senior housing and medical office, anarea where KAREA sees a tremendous growth opportunity due to thechanging demographic landscape, company officials say.
