PHILADELPHIA—Cathryn Coate, an office brokerwith Colliers International, has been electedpresident of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Society ofIndustrial and Office Realtors.

Coate, who specializes in the non-profit sector for Colliers,served as vice president of the Philadelphia Chapter of SIOR in2013 and as vice chair of the organization from 2008- 2010. Shejoined Colliers in 2009 as senior vice president–office division.The Philadelphia Chapter of SIOR consists of 85 members locatedthroughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley, Lancaster,Harrisburg, Southern New Jersey and Delaware.

Before becoming a broker, Coate had a successful career in thenon-profit sector serving in leadership positions with the GreaterPhiladelphia Cultural Alliance and the Institute for the Study ofCivic Values. She has also taught and lectured at the WhartonSchool and the School of Social Work of the University ofPennsylvania, the University of the Arts, Drexel University andEastern College.
