ATLANTA—Unique is a good word to describe this grocery-anchoredportfolio sale. A 96.5% occupied collection of sevengrocery-anchored shopping centers has traded hands.

The Sunbelt Portfolio includes Publix-, Kroger- andBI-LO-anchored shopping centers spanning 513,723square feet throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas.HFF marketed the portfolio on behalf of thesellers, a joint venture between BVT EquityHoldings and WealthCap.

“The Sunbelt Grocery Portfolio represented an exceptionalopportunity to acquire a critical mass of dominant grocery-anchoredproperties in prime real estate markets throughout the southernUnited States,” Richard Reid, a managing directorat HFF, tells GlobeSt.com.
