BETHLEHEM, PA—Philadelphia-basedWallace Roberts & Todd, an integrated designfirm of architects, landscape architects and planners, received the35th annual ULI Global Awards for Excellence forits design of the SteelStacks Arts and CulturalCampus in Bethlehem, PA.
SteelStacks is an arts and cultural campuslocated on the former Bethlehem Steel plant onBethlehem's SouthSide. This 9.5 acre campus sits withinBethlehem Works, a 126 acre development that wasestablished as a 20-year tax incremental finance district (TIF) in2000, three years after the steel mill closed. The plant's closinghad an appreciable impact on both the city and the Lehigh Valleyregion, whose population is about one million.
