SEATTLE—Coming off a year that saw ColliersInternational achieve double-digit growth in many of itskey US markets, Craig Robinson, who joined thispast March as president | USA, tells GlobeSt.com that the companyis just getting started. “This is really part of a much longernarrative, which is a growth narrative,” he says.

Over the past few years, he says, the Colliers businessdomestically and globally has seen “significant growth. In fact,just over the past year, globally our EBITDA has doubled. In termsof our footprint, we now have almost 500 offices globally and closeto 16,000 employees. And we're at a point now where our focus is ina number of strategic markets. In those markets, specifically inthe US, we see even greater opportunities going forward.”

Growing those markets, through both recruitment andacquisitions, is one of five areas of focus for Robinson and the USteam. Monday's announcement of a major expansion in theSouth Florida market typifies the company'sapproach in this area, with 17 appointments including severalprofessionals who opted to stay with Colliers rather than joinAvison Young, which closed on its acquisition ofAbood Wood-Fay last week.
