TYSONS, VA—Another day, another announcement of a newWhole Foods Market location here. Following newsthis week that Whole Foods will be taking 40,000-square feet at 965 Florida Ave.,NW, the grocery store chain has announced it hassigned a lease for a 70,000-square foot flagship store atThe Boro. The Boro is a new 3.7-million-squarefoot development by The Meridian Group near Greensboro Metrostation.

It will consist of roughly 1.8 million square feet ofresidential space, 1.3 million square feet of office, 316,000square feet of retail, and 250,000 square feet of hotel space.

Phase One of the project is expected to deliver in 2018. It willfeature 945,000 square feet of apartments and condominiums, 154,000square feet of retail -- including the Whole Foods Market store and84,000 square feet of storefront retail -- a 112,000-square-footcinema, 400,000 square feet of office space, and a 1-acre publicpark.
