NEWPORT BEACH, CA—Bixby Land Company has takena cue from its own development strategy and relocated its companyheadquarters into the firm's newly-completed Avalon officebuilding in Newport Beach, CA.

“We didn't develop Avalon with the mindset of moving into thebuilding, but as the project evolved it became clear that this wasan ideal location for our company and our people,” saidBill Halford, president and CEO of Bixby LandCompany.

Bixby worked with San Francisco architect RaptStudio to redesign the two-story building at 1501 QuailStreet into a contemporary work environment. The developer guttedthe interior to convert the former single-user building into avibrant multi-tenant project. The design artfully carved out theinterior core of the building to create a distinctive second-flooroutdoor deck for tenants to enjoy, “The Loft”.
