FT. LAUDERDALE, FL—A new Walmart Supercenter inFt. Lauderdale opened this week, the first Walmart in the city. Thenew store employs over 300 full- and part-time associates, and willbe open around the clock, seven days a week.

"We are proud to be a part of the Ft. Lauderdale community,"said store manager Anthony Boykins. "We lookforward to opening and providing area residents with Walmart'severyday low prices in this new year and beyond."

The Ft. Lauderdale Supercenter is a full grocery store withfresh produce, meat, pantry staples and more. Local officialsattended a ceremony on Wednesday, noting that the store located at2500 W. Broward Blvd. will benefit the local community.
