MOUNTAINVIEW, CA—ElCamino Real, the Bay Area's longest running arterial throughwaystretching from Daly City to San Jose, is undergoing arevitalization. El Camino Real is called the “grand boulevard ofmeaningful destinations,” so the GrandBoulevard Initiative wasestablished as a solution to attract new development includingretail, transit, employment, services and housing along itscorridor.
Constructionis underway on 1101West, thecondominium community located at 1101 West El Camino Real indowntown, according to RegisHomes Bay Area. 1101West will meet the initiative's challenge by positioning thecondominiums further from street level, which was designed topromote increased foot and bike traffic to Mountain View's myriadofferings. The community will also provide a new bus stop directlyoutside of the lobby entrance.
