HOUSTON—Late last year, Hewlett PackardEnterprise announced plans to move out of its current Houstonfacility—the former Compaq campus—after flooding two years in arow. The campus is located at 11445 Compaq Center West Dr. innorthwest Houston near Highway 249. The facility is next to CypressCreek, and was impacted by the 2016 Tax Day floods and Hurricane Harvey.
The Palo Alto, CA-based company plans to build a new facility tokeep most of its Houston operations in the area, but it willrelocate its manufacturing operations to Austin, TX. Most HPEemployees, including sales, business unit, supply chain, legal andhuman resources teams, will remain in the current location until anew Houston location has been identified and built, and HPE willlease back the facility until its new campus is complete, accordingto the firm.
