Arlington Commons

ARLINGTON, TX—Arlington Commons is the largest multifamily redevelopment project in Arlington history and oneof the largest in North Texas. As construction of themuch-anticipated complex is nearing an end, the project value itwill bring to the city has jumped from $200 million to estimates of$300 to $400 million, according to Robert Kembel, president ofThe NehemiahCompany. Aside from the monetary increase, the significance ofthe complex speaks for itself.

Arlington Commons is replacing aging apartment complexes thatwere originally built in the 1970s and will offer a high-end livingoption with rents not exceeding the market rate. The redevelopmenthas garnered support from the community, including $10.5 million ineconomic incentives from the Arlington city council. And, mayorJeff Williams mentioned Arlington Commons as a highlight of thecity's success in his state of the city address this past fall.
