Michelle Jeffrey Delk has fundamentally reshaped the role of landscape architecture in urban resilience as a Partner and Discipline Director at Snøhetta. With 25 years of experience, Delk specializes in transforming utilitarian infrastructure into vibrant civic assets.

Her influential work includes the Speer Boulevard and Cherry Creek Visioning Study in Denver and the 550 Madison Garden, a privately owned public space that invites inclusive public life into institutional environments. Her projects are consistently recognized for excellence; in 2025 alone, she earned honors from the Chicago Athenaeum American Architecture Awards and an AIA New York Design Award for Urban Design.

Delk’s leadership extends to the academic realm as the Laurie Olin Professor of Practice at the University of Pennsylvania, where she mentors the next generation of designers to view landscape as a medium for equity. She is a trusted voice on national boards, including the Urban Design Forum and The Cultural Landscape Foundation’s Stewardship Council.

By approaching infrastructure with imagination, Delk ensures that cities become more humane and ecologically repairable, even in the face of shifting urban priorities and climate risk.
