Janet Meyer is a visionary leader who has fundamentally redefined the senior living sector over her 27-year career. As the first female Principal at BCT Design Group, Meyer co-founded the firm’s Housing Studio, where she has directed the design and construction of more than 3,000 housing units. She is renowned for shifting perceptions of senior housing from institutional to vibrant, hospitality-driven communities that foster intergenerational connection. In 2025, she reached a major milestone with the successful opening of Brightview Hunt Valley and AvalonBay Hunt Valley, which together provide over 500 new homes for seniors and multifamily residents. Meyer’s expertise in the full continuum of care is complemented by her dedication to historic revitalization, as seen in her work on Baltimore’s 10 Light Street.
