Sadie McKeown stands at the forefront of the commercial real estate industry’s efforts in affordable housing and climate finance. As President of The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC), McKeown oversees lending and sustainability initiatives, including CPC Climate Capital, which delivers financing for high-performance multifamily housing.

Over the past fiscal year, CPC invested $138 million in sustainable housing, delivering 770 high-efficiency units. McKeown also oversees the administration of New York State’s $250 million Climate Friendly Homes Fund, aimed at electrifying 10,000 housing units.

She has been a champion of the idea that energy efficiency and housing affordability must advance together, leading financing for over 14,000 homes since 2015. McKeown serves on the board of the New York State Housing Finance Agency and has helped shape statewide climate strategies through the New York State Climate Action Council.

Her pragmatic leadership has created a national roadmap for sustainable community development.
