Alexis Alonzo, a partner and founding co-chair of the landbanking practice at Holland & Knight, has closed over $6 billion in landbanking transactions throughout her 20-year career. Her work has been instrumental in the development of more than 60,000 homes nationwide, providing a measurable impact on housing production and community growth.

Over the past year, Alonzo managed a deal portfolio exceeding $2 billion, including a massive series of multistate landbanking transactions valued at more than $1.2 billion involving 6,000 residential lots. Her strategic vision was critical in securing a $200 million borrowing base facility for a national capital provider, a deal that required coordinating over 80 borrowing entities.

Additionally, Alonzo maintains a specialized equine law practice, advising on high-value sales and leases for nationally ranked competition horses. She remains deeply committed to the next generation of real estate professionals, dedicating her time to coaching graduate students in her firm’s Joint Venture Challenge Competition.

This hands-on mentorship allows her to provide real-world negotiation guidance to future industry leaders in law and business. Alonzo’s ability to lead with clarity during uncertain market conditions has made her an indispensable advisor for major homebuilders and private equity funds.
