Meg George, a partner at Akerman LLP, is the youngest individual ever appointed to the firm’s seven-member Executive Committee. George is currently leading the representation of Bally’s Corporation in the development of Chicago’s first casino, a landmark 25-acre project at the Tribune Publishing Center. She also served as land use counsel for a world-class horror attraction that generated $3.6 million in savings for her client and is projected to have a $1 billion economic impact. Additionally, she advised Walmart on the donation of a major training academy facility to the Chicago Urban League, facilitating community workforce development. George chairs Akerman Strong, the firm’s wellness initiative focused on mental health and resiliency. Her commitment to the city is further evidenced by her work on the Chicago Sustainability Task Force, where she helped draft the city's sustainability matrix. She also supports education through her role as VP of Circle of Friends, which bridges high school students with those having special needs.
