LaVon Johns is a partner at Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila LLP, where she leads the Business Transactions practice group and specializes in public-private partnerships. Johns served as lead real estate counsel on the landmark $1.8 billion privatization of the Chicago Skyway Toll Bridge and recently advised her team on over $1.2 billion in 2025 transaction values.

She is dedicated to "Impact Developments," such as the $22 million Austin Hope Center health facility, which serves as the first pediatric specialty clinic on Chicago's West Side. Additionally, she has recruited 10 new attorneys across four offices to expand the firm's bench strength in sectors like hospitality and transportation.

Johns is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University School of Law, training the next generation of transactional attorneys. Her industry leadership was recognized in 2025 with an appointment to the Law360 Real Estate Authority Editorial Board and inclusion in Forbes' America’s Best-in-State Top Lawyers.

She also recently co-chaired the Commercial Real Estate awards for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Johns consistently delivers innovative solutions while building institutions for the profession.
