Valerie Kelly is a partner in Fried Frank’s Real Estate Department and a primary advisor for some of the largest commercial leases in New York City and Washington, D.C.. Kelly recently guided RXR Realty in a 25-year lease extension for 700,000 square feet with Davis Polk & Wardwell—one of NYC’s largest leases in 2023.

She also represented Citadel in its 585,000-square-foot master-lease at 350 Park Avenue and advised Moody’s Corporation on its 460,000-square-foot global headquarters relocation to 200 Liberty Street. Additionally, she represented the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation in an agreement with Amtrak to take over station management, a first step in a multibillion-dollar master plan.

Her negotiation skills are so highly regarded that Fried Frank entrusted her to handle the firm's own long-term lease renewal in D.C.. Kelly co-leads the firm’s Women’s Forum and is a founding member of the Women in Real Estate group.

She also serves on the board of the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, where she helped secure a community office in Anacostia. Clients describe her as a "super smart attorney" with a "complete package" of skills.
