Marie Lewis serves as EVP and General Counsel of BioMed Realty, where she oversees legal, environmental strategy, and corporate communications for a global real estate portfolio. Lewis has supported more than $590 million in transactions over the last year and was instrumental in the development of the 2.2 million-square-foot Gateway of Pacific life science campus.

She recently guided a joint venture with MIT at 75 Broadway that resulted in the largest real estate transaction in the Boston area for 2025. Lewis created and leads BioMed Realty’s Integration function, establishing disciplined processes to absorb major acquisitions while maintaining performance.

Her leadership also encompasses environmental strategy and sustainability, ensuring long-term portfolio resilience. Lewis serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County and co-organized a 5K fundraising event to expand youth mentorship.

Furthermore, she mobilizes employees through the national CoreGiving Day initiative to provide tens of thousands of meals to families facing food insecurity. Lewis uniquely demonstrates the ability to translate legal expertise into enterprise-level leadership.
