Bonnie Neuman leads the global Real Estate Practice at Sidley Austin LLP, representing major financial institutions in hospitality and high-value financing transactions. Neuman recently guided a four-lender syndicate in a $2.5 billion mortgage and mezzanine financing for the Aria and Vdara casinos in Las Vegas.

She also led a $4 billion financing secured by approximately 445 hotel properties for a Starwood and Blackstone joint venture, completing three separate financings in just six weeks. Additionally, she advised on a $550 million hybrid bond financing for 8 Spruce Street in New York City, creating a structure that satisfied both CMBS and liberty bond criteria.

Her problem-solving approach is defined by composure under pressure, a trait she leverages from her earlier career as an occupational therapist. Neuman is a member of the board of Nick’s Marathon, which supports children with life-threatening diseases, and serves on committees for the Food Bank of NYC.

She was the first woman to lead the real estate practice at her previous firm, where she directed a trans-Atlantic team. Her expertise in manage secondary market loan sales is highly valued in uncertain financing environments.
