Elizabeth O'Brien is the Practice Group Leader of the Real Estate Group at Levenfeld Pearlstein, where she oversees a 48-person team representing prominent owners and investors. Under her leadership, the practice group achieved a staggering 40% year-over-year revenue growth in 2025 and nearly doubled in size.

Since joining the firm in 2017, O'Brien has grown her personal book of business tenfold and now serves as a member of the firm's Executive and Compensation committees. Her leadership philosophy was shaped during the Great Financial Crisis, when she launched her own solo practice while pregnant and taught herself distressed real estate law.

Today, she mentors young lawyers on business development and collaborative leadership. O'Brien is a longtime member of CREW Chicago and serves on the Awards Dinner Steering Committee for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Her civic contributions also include past service on the board of Friends of the Chicago River and the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation.

She was recently honored as one of Law Bulletin Media’s Top Women in Law for 2025. O'Brien leads with both accountability and empathy.
