Stefani Thomas is the SVP and Divisional General Counsel at Walker & Dunlop, overseeing legal operations for the Affordable Equity, Development, and Preservation businesses. Within just months of joining the firm, Thomas navigated the complex 2021 acquisition of the Affordable Equity business, successfully integrating the public company’s new platform.

In 2025, she managed legal operations for transactions that raised over $384 million in LIHTC equity, supporting over 2,400 units of affordable housing across 26 properties. She serves as a key member of the Affordable Equity Investment Committee, providing strategic advice on material disputes and proposed investments.

Thomas is also the Executive Lead for the firm’s Calabasas office, where she coordinates community service participation and team training. Drawing on her 14 years of law firm experience in corporate transactions, she acts as a dedicated mentor to junior colleagues, helping them map leadership career paths.
