Madeleine Roy
The Domain Companies

Madeleine Roy is a Managing Director and Director of Development at The Domain Companies, where she oversees one of New York City’s most ambitious mixed-income housing pipelines. Over the past two years, her leadership has delivered more than 1,700 units across Gowanus, Mott Haven, and Long Island City, with another 1,700 units currently in predevelopment.
Roy shepherded 420 Carroll, the first project delivered under the 2021 Gowanus rezoning, which includes a waterfront park and subsidized artist studios. This $380 million mixed-use project was successfully navigated amid significant capital market volatility.
In 2025, Roy led several transformative transactions, including the land acquisition and capitalization for a phase of Greenpoint Landing that will deliver over 1,000 new apartments. Her strategic foresight was also evident in the proactive refinancing of construction loans for multiple projects well ahead of traditional milestones.
Roy is an active board member of She Builds, a leadership initiative dedicated to empowering low-income New Yorkers through housing preservation and construction trade careers. Her ability to advance complex, high-volume projects while maintaining rigorous financial discipline positions her at the forefront of urban development.
