Tammy Jones has spent 17 years building Basis Investment Group into a national powerhouse, starting the firm during the 2009 economic crisis. As Founder and CEO, Jones has overseen more than $9.1 billion in transactions across 47 states, with a distinct focus on providing capital to diverse owners and operators.

She made history as the leader of the first Black- and female-owned investment firm to purchase a Freddie Mac B-Piece, and in 2026, her firm acquired an 8th CMBS B-Piece in a $771.9 million pool. Jones is currently raising $1.1 billion for her third commingled fund, having already secured $785 million.

Beyond her fiscal achievements, she is a fierce advocate for equity, founding the Basis Impact Group Foundation. Whether funding a $141 million development in Jamaica, Queens, or serving as chair of the board of Veris Residential, Jones combines institutional excellence with a profound commitment to community impact.
