As managing director and head of capital formation at Knightvest Capital, Claudia Betancourt has transformed the firm’s institutional capabilities amid significant market contraction. Over the last 15 months, Betancourt spearheaded the fundraising for Knightvest Capital Fund II, a $200 million vehicle, successfully closing approximately $120 million in new capital. Notably, 64% of this capital originated from new investor relationships, including the firm's first three institutional investors. Betancourt’s impact is further evident in her modernization of the firm's infrastructure, including implementing Juniper Square CRM and restructuring the entire institutional due diligence process. Drawing on her background as a financial analyst, she speaks with deep technical authority on underwriting and return drivers. Betancourt also remains dedicated to the next generation of professionals as an active member of Texas Wall Street Women and a former board member for the University of Oklahoma’s MBA program.
